Step 1: Unbox Your Trezor Device

After receiving your Trezor Model T or Trezor One, carefully inspect the packaging for any signs of tampering. Every Trezor device comes with security seals and should appear brand new.

Your Trezor package should include:

• The Trezor hardware wallet
• USB cable
• Recovery seed cards
• Instruction manual
• Optional stickers or accessories

If your device appears damaged or pre-used, stop the setup and seek official support.

Step 2: Go to Trezor.io/Start®

Trezor.io/Start® is the official setup portal for all Trezor hardware wallets. On this page, you’ll find complete setup instructions tailored to your specific model. Always ensure you're using this official starting point to avoid counterfeit instructions or third-party apps.

Step 3: Install Trezor Suite

Trezor Suite is the official desktop application that allows you to manage your digital assets securely. It enables you to install firmware, create or recover wallets, send and receive crypto, and monitor your portfolio.

After downloading Trezor Suite from Trezor.io/Start®, install it on your computer or mobile device. Use only this official source for software installation.

Step 4: Connect and Initialize Your Trezor

Using the USB cable, connect your Trezor to your computer. Trezor Suite will guide you through the initial setup process:

1. Install the latest firmware if prompted.
2. Create a new wallet or recover an existing one.
3. Choose a strong PIN to protect your device.
4. Write down your 12, 18, or 24-word recovery seed on the card provided.

Important: Your recovery seed is your backup. Never store it digitally or share it with anyone. Trezor will never ask for your seed words.

Step 5: Manage Your Crypto

Once your wallet is initialized, you can begin managing your cryptocurrencies through Trezor Suite. Supported features include:

• Adding accounts for Bitcoin, Ethereum, and other supported coins
• Sending and receiving transactions
• Checking balances and transaction history
• Using additional security features such as passphrase protection

All private keys stay safely stored on your Trezor device and are never exposed online.
